We absolutely love Dr. Jenkins! She has kept our 15-year old Maltese twins very healthy and happy. We highly recommend her!
Last Sunday Night 10/15, My 14 year old Pom started vomiting white mucus foam. I called Healing Springs, spoke to Dr.Dow told her Molly was vomiting many times and choking. She said to give her a Benadryl , I told her there was no way I could get a pill down her and it was serious, I was pulling the mucus out of here mouth from choking on it.. She said she was getting ready to leave and it would be $100 to see her. I did not care . I brought her down and she gave Molly a anti-nausea shot. We both thought it was a digestive issue. Dr.Dow noticed Molly had a heart murmur. I was really concerned. She said they make a medication it is really expensive. She asked if Molly acted weak in playing or coughing at night and I said no. She stated that Molly seemed better, referring to the shot she gave her. Molly was walking. I pursued the information on the murmur, she said an x-ray would show the size of heart., she would need to get another person in for that, looked up the price of the heart medication and also thought I could wait till Molly was more symptomatic . I paid $126. Molly did not breath right and I had to carry her to bed. All night not right or comfortable . I called the next morning upset as Molly was still not breathing right, not eating or drinking and was not comfortable . I brought her in and saw Heather Jenkins, Molly vomited in the car the whole ride. She vomited on the examination table also. Heather said Molly is no longer on their GI dog food and I explained that they had changed brands so I now buy the Hills Science GI on Amazon, she looked disgusted. I thought Molly vomiting was more important. I said to her it seems to be a digestive issue , she said no as there is no bile in it from her stomach. I told her Dr.Dow and I thought it was. I asked her why Molly was vomiting white mucus foam then, she was feeling Molly's neck and remarked that Molly had a swollen Lymph Node. I assumed that was my answer to my question about mucus. I was crying, very upset over my dog. I asked her to keep Molly to find out what was going on. She said I could leave here and she would start with a blood panel. No empathy at all from her.
